WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama has declared the swine flu outbreak a national emergency.

The White House on Saturday said Obama signed a proclamation that would allow medical officials to bypass certain federal requirements. Officials described the move as similar to a declaration ahead of a hurricane making landfall.

Swine flu is more widespread now than it's ever been and has resulted in more than 1,000 U.S. deaths so far.

Health authorities say almost 100 children have died from the flu, known as H1N1, and 46 states now have widespread flu activity.

The White House said Obama signed the declaration on Friday evening.

Yes, and now let's compare it to seasonal flu...Christ Almighty! They aren't even testing people for it, they are assuming they have it. Has the world gone mad???

Yes the world has literally gone mad over this H1H1 Swine Flu.
I had hoped that all of the media hype would die down as TPTB realized that they have not been successful in brainwashing the people.

Alas, onward with thier devious plans. I wonder how this will all turn out?

In the back of our minds I think we knew something like this was going to happen, but we were all hoping that we would be wrong.

Interestingly, he is making this announcement at the same time and on the same day that Canada is starting its nationwide Swine Vaccine TV campaign.
Makes me very suspicious about either nations politicians and the special interests behind this whole flu and vaccine debacle.

I can't wait to see more of the general public's reactions to this...

There is no reason to declare a national emergency, but that doesn't matter.
We are in a dangerous situation here folks. Literally anything could be happening very soon.

Worst case scenarios...

the flu is bad and kills tons of people
the vaccine is bad and kills tons of people
the whole thing is a pretext for the ushering in of a new agenda using martial law

in any of those cases look out for the possibility of complete social breakdown, martial law and a new way of life in the US

Great more civil liberties being trampled on.

I was in the ER a few days ago for asthma and I baited the doctor by pretending to want the H1N1 vaccine.

After he said his thing I straight out told him I was just feeling him out and I am against the vaccine.

He pretty much confirmed everything we already know and have been speculating on, at the very least it's a money making scam and at the worst it will injure you and you can't do anything about it.

I'm going to see if I can find a copy of the order Obama signed and post it.

Well considering that you can't have anything from a cold to spiral meningitis without it being labeled H1N1 they can surely create a faux-emergency from it. Tack on the fact that the FDA allows people to "drug" our kids up on corn syrup and other unhealthy food additives and it is no wonder that kids are always catching something and are the most vulnerable to any new crap that comes out. They have no immune systems anymore between early vaccination before the immune system is fully developed to additives to all of the desanitizers, etc. and these kids are like the boy in the bubble--only out of the bubble.

It is all a great big controlling joke. Problem. Reaction. Solution.

I can't wait to see more of the general public's reactions to this...

Well, naturally there will be the mass panic types, but I think a lot more people than before will be suspicious and I don't think mass vaccination is going to work out the way they wanted it to because people know people that have had it and gotten over it already.

Or did you mean: how will people react to having more rights stripped away?

Then my answer to that is: same as always. They'll continue to watch television, talk on their iPhones and download illegal movies.

I think it's very telling that he signed it on Friday EVENING. Trying to slide something like this in under the radar = devious.

The news channels here have gone on a blitz, reporting only the deaths of children. I think that's to generate even more fear in the minds of the public. I don't know what the numbers are on deaths for the seasonal flu, but from what I've heard, the swine flu isn't as bad as the seasonal flu.

I don't think this is going to bode well for any us. This is my opinion only, but Obama is power hungry, and everything he signs, brings him a little closer to complete domination.

That sounds a little over the top, but that's how I see it.

Well there we go. We all knew this would happen.

But here is the thing - if we have used up our Level 6 and National emergency on the Flu - what is left for and outbreak of Ebola or the Plague?

Are they actually trying to make us believe that this fake flu is on par with Ebola or the Black Death?

This is just an excuse to take away more rights, restrict more freedoms and put more heavily armed government paramilitaries onto our streets... :angry03:

Can anyone pop over to the CDC or their state Health Agency and compare deaths from H1N1 to Seasonal last year? I believe we are still "down" in numbers for H1N1.

I think this is the biggest pile of bullshit considering that most of the people diagnosed as H1N1 haven't been tested. It could very easily be the seasonal flu.

Kids die from seasonal flu every year. It is sad, very sad, but true.

And we absolutely gave them the power to do this by our own apathy. The adults that let this happen deserve what we get for not fighting harder, or in the case of some, not at all. The kids don't deserve this.

The worst part is you will have people justifying this as "for our own good" when we know good and well that this is not on par, as some put it, with ebola. It's the flu.

I am now afraid that the "prophets" out there will state that this is the event, and maybe it could be that turning point of Timewave. I just think this started way before October, however.
