Mexican Drug Cartels “officially” declare open war on US Federal Agents and the US government officials inside of Mexico?

Share It:

With no fear of reprise the Nacros have notched up the drug war inside of Mexico to now include an open declaration of killing Americans that work for, or have anything to do with the US Federal government operating inside of Mexico.

On the heels of the recent daylight assassination inside of Mexico of one US Federal Special Agent Jaime J. Zapata and the attempted murder of his partner who was fortunate enough to have survived the attack (but who now struggles for his life in a local hospital), there is a clear indication that the drug cartels mean business and they stand behind their word as the escalating violence has reached a new high.

In an open and brazen "official declaration" of war against the US Federal Agents and the US Government, the drug cartels and their recent acts which they have instigated in broad daylight are now openly challenging the US Government to their terms and have begun threatening to kill any Americans either Mexican or “Gringo" who are US Federal Agents or employees who operate inside of Mexico or who try to intervene within matters inside of Mexico.

The US State Department only five months ago issued a statement warning any US travels to avoid certain parts of Mexico and has ordered the families and all non essential members of the US government and consulate workers families in northern Mexico to leave Mexico.

http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_t ... _4755.html

However this recent declaration has caused great concern within the State Department where officials are contemplating their next move to combat a situation that seems to be out of their control.

The cartels have also declared that upon killing any more Americans that any retaliation or interference in their activities by American officials or US Federal Agents will result in an all out open war on US Soil.

The drug cartels already have an elaborate network of foot soldiers and auxiliary members set up and operating within the USA ready at a moments notice to be activated into war or acts of terrorism on US soil.

The US Federal Government is aware of this complex situation and has had to gingery tread over the realization that this very precarious situation could erupt into all out war within the US such a war might be fueled by or aided by sympathizers or racial extremists already living inside the USA.

The drug cartels are using this vast network of soldiers inside of the USA as their leverage against the US Federal Government and waring that if the US government does not leave Mexico and or continues to intervene that these foot soldiers inside the USA will soon be activated and begin to kill innocent people and law enforcement officials in the same manner as being done in Mexico.

The Obama administration has threatened to respond with overwhelming force if the bloodshed spreads into America but has little or no real power in regards to what happens inside of Mexico. This is apparent by the words of Obamas Department of Homeland Security Director Janet Nepolitona who responded to this most recent killing of the US Federal Agent inside of of Mexico by saying:

"Let me be clear: any act of violence against our ICE personnel — or any DHS personnel — is an attack against all those who serve our nation and put their lives at risk for our safety, We remain committed in our broader support for Mexico's efforts to combat violence within its borders."

Janet Napolitano stopped short of declaring any real action or intervention which clearly indicate even the drug cartels have some power over the US Government. Sources inside Mexico indicate the Narcos are ready to remove all US Federal employees from any and all agencies operating inside of Mexico in order to keep control of their country.

In March of 2010 a U.S. employee of a consulate, her husband and a Mexican citizen tied to the American consulate were killed when drug members shot up their car in Ciudad Juarez.

Many portions of northern Mexico have fallen to the control of these various Narcos organizations as entire police forces have resigned and 36 mayors and countless police chiefs have been brutally murdered over the past year alone and which are included in the 35,000 drug related murders Mexico has seen in the past two years.

In an already divided nation the common people of Mexico are no longer standing strong with President Flipe Calderon or his war on drugs which has claimed the lives of too many innocent people, including the gruesome discovery of a 2 year old toddler whose headless corpse was dumped in the town of Delicias in Chihuahua earlier this month in one of the most twisted attacks to plague the state.

Mr. Calderon popularity polls indicate he has lost favor with the populace and has had to increase his own personal security force in the wake of ever increasing threats to his life. Sources indicate that the narcos are simply waiting until President Calderon is out of office in 2012 and is less protected before they assassinate him, but that there is still an open contract on his life which can be executed at any time.

Sheriff of the year (2011) Paul Babeuar of Pinal County Arizona has be a huge voice of opposition to the drug narcos and emphasizes he will stand up to any threat that crosses the border into his jurisdiction and went as far as to say;

“And we are not speaking of illegal immigrants. We are speaking of cartels that almost have overthrown the Mexican government and which they think that they can come to our county and commit those crimes and acts of violence. That is not going to happen here”.

There will be a special news report on itv news tonight, 16th feb 2011 @ 10pm. You should be able to catch it on http://www.itv.com/itvplayer/ later on tonight or tomorrow.

http://www.itv.com/news/death-sentence-job34551/

Video included.

'Death sentence' job
10.01AM Wed Feb 16 2011
To most people in her town, Marisol Valles is crazy - to a few, she is the bravest woman in Mexico.

She is 21-years-old and has taken on a job that is more or less a death sentence.

Her predecessor's head was found on the doorstep of her office.

She is the newest chief of police in what amounts to a war against the drug gangs.

This week on ITV News we are reporting on that war being fought along Mexico's border with the United States.

Across that border from Texas is the town of Praxedis where Marisol Valles is the police chief.

In the second of his reports our International Editor looks at policing the drugs war.

The report does contain some graphic images.

Three DTO-related incidents on US soil in six weeks

Here is an excerpt from "One killed in suspected execution style shooting" on Action 4 News/ValleyCentral.com:

"Mission Police are reporting one of two victims dead, after a suspected execution style shooting Tuesday night... The shooting reportedly happened last night near the Cimarron Country Club, at the intersection of Glasscock and Rio Grande Drive. Police say several gunshots were fired... A number of vehicles were seen at the location of the shooting with Mexican license plates. Four suspects are reportedly in police custody, while police continue to look for two more suspects." Here is an excerpt from "Police probe whether beheading was 'hit' from drug cartel" by Mike Sakal in the East Valley Tribune:

"Chandler police are investigating the possibility that the stabbing death and decapitation of a 38-year-old Phoenix resident believed to be an illegal immigrant from Mexico earlier this month was a “hit” by a Mexican drug cartel against a member who betrayed them. Alejandro Cota-Monroy, whose decapitated body was found inside an apartment at 300 West Fairview St. the morning of Oct. 10 amid a bloody and gruesome scene, may have ripped off a Mexican cartel of illegal drugs, according to Chandler police Detective Dave Ramer... Initial media reports indicated that the man’s death could be connected to a Mexican religious ritual, the Saint of Death, because candles and a Ouija border were reportedly found at the scene. But Ramer said the slaying had “nothing to do” with the religion, although drug dealers and drug cartel members are known to participate in it because they believe if they do, it will protect them from law enforcement." Here is an excerpt from "Two Zetas executed in Brownsville, Texas" in The Brownsville Herald:

"Authorities have linked Thursday’s double homicide on FM 511 in the northwest outskirts of Brownsville. Texas, to Mexican drug cartels and are investigating the killings as spillover violence from the Tamaulipas war between the Gulf Cartel and Los Zetas. The bodies of Omar Castillo Flores “El Omarcillo”, 25, and Jose Guadalupe Lopez Perez, 38, were found inside a gray Dodge Ram pickup that was riddled with bullets, police spokesman Eddie Garcia said Friday. He said the truck had a Mexican license plate on the back bumper, and he identified both men as residents of Mexico... Brownsville Police Chief Carlos Garcia confirmed the information provided by Mexican law enforcement officials who stated that Omar Castillo and Jose Lopez were members of the Zetas criminal organisation and that Omar Castillo was the younger brother of former Gulf Cartel member Alberto "Beto Fabe" Castillo Flores." Analysis: While these three incidents happened in two different states, three different cities, and six weeks apart, they signal a disturbing possibility: Mexican DTOs might be more willing to take risks and engage in violent activity against their selected targets in the US.

Not that violent activity by DTOs on US soil is anything new. In August 2008, four suspects were paid between $400,000 and $450,000 to torture five victims with electric shock and slit their throats in an Alabama apartment. The murders have been tied to a Mexican DTO that transports cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana. In February 2009, gang members threw an inactive grenade into a strip club in Pharr, Texas. In August 2009, 16 members of the "Los Palillos" gang were indicted for the torture and murder of nine people in San Diego on behalf of a Mexican DTO.

In all fairness, there's no concrete proof (yet) that either the McAllen country club shooting or the Chandler beheading are definitely connected to Mexican DTOs, but I'd be willing to bet money that they are. The real question becomes, are we seeing a trend, or are these three incidents just becoming more noticeable?

We know a couple of things. First, hitmen working for DTOs are starting out younger and younger, which means they lack the experience and expertise of their predecessors. That means hits these days tend to be messier and more public. We also know that some DTOs in some places are getting more desperate to hang on to their territory and their share of drug profits. This means they may be willing to take more risks when it comes to engaging in violent activity on this side of the border.

It's so hard to say because criminals tend to not report crimes committed against them. It could be just a sheer coincidence that these incidents happened within a few weeks of each other, or that the police found out about them; the killers could have just been careless in all three cases. However, I'm a firm believer that once is an accident, twice is a coincidence, and three times is a conspiracy. I prefer not to be an alarmist, but I'm concerned that these incidents were so blatant, and may have been designed to send a message. I'm not raising the red flag just yet, but I know I'll be keeping an eye out for other incidents like this in the next few weeks.

in regards to Calderon

Manlio Fabio Beltrones, president of the Senate gave a lecture to students University Iberoamericana, the issue of war-ravaged country was inevitable in the forum called Mexico into the future, as are constant criticism and questioning of the President Felipe Calderón Hinojosa, are endless, but no answers.

Beltrones said there could be more deaths for the actions currently in the Vietnam War, " At the rate we're going, we could end this term with the same number of deaths to smoke in Vietnam, 50 000 soldiers "He said.

Questioning the death toll has been cited worldwide, " Is it resolved with 30 thousand more? "When we have 80 000, the matter will be resolved? Well, some might say yes, but not "Said Beltrones.

@SIAZ,

If you look carefully, the US is getting a lot of back door web censoring; there's now much content that 'isn't available in your country'. We are now China, and everywhere else that people bitch about for a lack of freedoms; it's here, and most don't notice it :sad:

@Von, provocative article, for sure.

Special Agent Jaime J.Zapata was gunned down in the line of duty by the Mexican drug cartel operatives while on his way with another agent who was wounded from Mexico City to Monterrey Mexico.Although they were in an armored vehicle at the time and identified themselves as diplomats..they were gunned down in cold blood anyway!

Special Agent Zapata was an 8 year Federal Law Enforcement Agent first with the United States Border Patrol then to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

He will be missed by all!..God Bless Agent Zapata!

Top notch, Von! And something we should certainly be paying attention to. Interesting how the DHS just released its budget, and while they are seemingly stepping up their presence everywhere WITHIN our borders, they have no plans to increase security ON our borders. Go figure....
