But beware of China!!!! lolz

Where is all the goddamn money going?!??

And HOW.... HOWWWWW can a country like Iran be a threat?!

What would happen if we took 25% of the defense budget and rolled it in to education?

Cause sometimes, you just feel tired. Feel weak. And when you feel weak, you feel like you wanna just give up. But you gotta search within you. You gotta find that inner strength, and just pull that shit out of you. And get that motivation to NOT give up and NOT be a quitter. No matter how bad you wanna just fall flat on your face and collapse - ♫♫♫♫♫♫

Excellent questions DYS! First things that pop into the minds of people who think. Imagine what would happen if the whole country read this chart and had enough thought process to figure this out. Instead, investing in education is now being demonized. Education has been added to the conservatives "entitlement" hit list, and anyone thinking otherwise is branded a socialist.

How can Iran be the world threat when the US has been attacking countries all over the world for their resources for decades? Of course faux news and their viewers will be quick to point out that it's to spread democracy, and the resources just happen to be there. To point out the spreading democracy lie, gets you branded a commie. Meanwhile in the US their democracy see's innocent US citizens being gunned down and maimed in the streets by their police officers daily. No trial needed. Yes by all means spread some of that around.

@ Opti

Thanks for the great add. Brings even more perspective to the table. Americans have been pretty much solely responsible for funding the war machine. Americans are a very small percentage of the world population. As America further declines economically, who will be paying for their war machine now? Taking away educational spending, social security and medicare will only feed the machine for so long.

Re: The Insanity Of U.S. Military Spending In One Chart

I am with Ron Paul on this...get our military out of most countries and keep them in our Embassys.

We do not need to be fighting other peoples wars for them and their profits with our finest blood.

However I am also alarmed at something not told to the public when doing such budget studies. Part of the Military Budget is for Homeland Defense.
When Homeland Defense was created this put the military budget way over that of social services.

Prior to that Social services took more monies from the budget than the military.

And this is never explained to the public or people in posts like this.

And we now have a Homeland Defense more concerned with what Americans are doing ...not terrorists outside America...but looking on Americans themselves as possible terrorists. All Americans.

So ...once we downsize the military we can now spend more monies on social services ...ie...vote buying programs. Yup...more people on the breast for votes and power. Just like Ancient Rome.

Same with Public Education. We can throw more monies at it and buy more votes from overly emotional young people as well as the jobs program Public Education has become verses actual education of our children.

Smart thinking people...very smart.

Why....we can even afford health care on the public purse and buy more votes!!!! Yes...indeed!!!!
Health Care can more quickly become just like Public Education...a standard of excellence. A beacon in the darkness.

Smart thinking people.

And even our military too..it too has become a social experiment. Full of social causes...not full of military peoples...or shooters..but full of politicians.

This became obvious in the first Gulf war with the number of people not ready to be shipped out....some of them even ignorant enough to declare that they did not sign up to be deployed to war.
Astonishing...public education thinking at work.

Thanks,
Orangetom
